Curriculum for Excellence

In S1 we follow a Curriculum for Excellence which pupils are taught from the following programmes:

• Let’s get started  
• Practise, play and record           
•  Keep on moving
• Go improvise

Within these programmes pupils will develop the following skills through exploring a number of units:

• Create characters that are realistic or stylised using Voice, movement & language
• Work together to transform ideas into a performance
• Discuss and consider feelings and opinions about your own & others’        drama

5 – 14

In S2 we currently follow the 5 – 14 Curriculum which pupils explore:

Role Play     Improvisation    Mime and Movement     Scripted work

Within these units pupils continue to develop their skills in:

• Group work
• Self and Peer Assessment
• Characterisation
• Voice and Movement
